There are many ways that volunteers can help out - from distributing brochures around the city, to writing a press release article for the news, to acting as – or working with reviewers for marketing language. Development Committee Volunteer Opportunities

Goals: The goal of the Development Committee is to support the mission of SSNE by cultivating a network of supporters and raising funds for programs, operations, and the future expansion of SSNE.

We seek volunteers with good communication and writing skills to help generate grant proposals, appeal letters, and membership packages. This committee offers good opportunity to network with key players in the sustainability community while building personal skills that may be used to enrich the non-profit sector as a whole. We also seek volunteers with significant experience in fund-raising and developing organizational-level membership models to serve in advisory roles.

IT Committee Volunteer Opportunities

SSNE's work can only be accomplished with an effective IT infrastructure. The ability to accomplish essential marketing, registration, membership and fundraising tasks at a low cost provides the base structure to support SSNE's mission. The current opportunity to greatly enhance SSNE's services and programs using more effective IT is needed for SSNE to continue and grow. Involvement in SSNE's IT needs provides an opportunity to learn more about its key programs and mission and to help lead it in new directions.
