Highlights from past Roundtables and other Dialogues

SSNE has been a leader in convening cross-sectoral dialogues that bring together multiple parties in a creative collaborative solutions-focused way to make the systems work for people and the earth.
In past projects, SSNE has facilitated (and in some cases designed):
•
- A dialogue of 27 environmental non-profits in CT for the CT Clean Energy Fund on questions of how to more renewable & wind energy capacity built in the state
•
- A strategic planning session with over 100 people from EPA and 9 Native American tribes in New England focused on an action plan for pollution prevention and environmental health – participatory process resulted in a concise focused action plan in 2 days
•
- A dialogue of 8-10 non-profits from the environmental & health field all working to promote green and healthy buildings in Boston. Network is exploring how they can collaborate and be more effective & has already spawned significant new collaboration among the non-profits.

A Sustainable Rhode Island conference of government, business, NGO’s, and citizens to brainstorm a vision of what a sustainable RI would look like for transportation, agriculture, economic development, etc.
SSNE both facilitated and helped to design the conference.

- A roundtable dialogue in MA among 12 senior government and business leaders (who have proactive sustainable business practices) around the question of how can government encourage more businesses to be proactive
