Sustainability and the Deeper Value of Green
Thursday, May 11th, 2006, 10:00 AM at the New Hampshire
Business for Social Responsibility 3rd Annual Spring Conference.
Presenters: Beth Tener of SSNE, Steve Kowal and Paul Doolittle of the Granite Earth Institute
Adopting green practices can generate bottom line value in cost savings,
waste reduction, and energy efficiency, and top line value in innovative new
products and services. A deeper value can be gained when a company can
inspire its employees to bring their full commitment and creativity to these
initiatives. Beth Tener of SSNE will share a framework that companies can
use to tap their employees' best thinking on how to adopt sustainable
practices. Steve Kowal and Paul Doolittle of the Granite Earth Institute
will share a discussion course tool they offer that engages employees in the
workplace in values-based dialogues.
The full-day conference runs from 8:30am - 4:30pm at the Wayfarer Inn in
Bedford, NH and includes other sessions on topics such as affordable
housing, disaster response, corporate ethics, and energy.
